Here are the simple steps to follow:
On-page optimization
1. Set meta tags like meta title, meta description, and descriptive keywords, these are the most important tags that search engine reads all the time.
The title of the meta tag or page title refers to the title at the top of your browsers, and this can also be seen in search engine results.
The description of the meta tag allows you to influence the description of the page(s).
Meta tag keywords are the keywords or phrases in the list you targeted for that specific page.

2. The information on the website is its content, put keywords related to your contents. Note, your keywords should appear for your content because some search engines penalize your website. Content is king for your visitors as well as for search engines. I will add Busby SEO test as a keyword.
Internal links are very important for search engine optimization, always remove broken links or missing page and make sure that search engine bots/spiders can access all your pages.
Anchor Text is the text you see for on-page or off-page links, always include your keywords in the anchor text for your internal links, this is very important for letting search engines know your target keywords.
Hidden text is text that matches the background color (same as the text color and background color of your page) and cannot be seen by the average visitor, never use any hidden text tricks for your keywords, because search engines will penalize or may even remove your site from their index or search results!
Essential off-page or off-site SEO tips
This is optimization outside of your page or website, and is the most powerful way to change your site into search engine results pages or SERPs.

External links are the most powerful SEO factor. Search engines like Google have said: If there are many good sites linking to your site, you must have good content. This is the reason for giving you a higher rank.
PageRank or Google Page Rank – PR is the quality of pages that indicates that your site is more powerful than quantity. For the PageRank checker, you can install on your browser such as Firefox or Internet Expolorer at http://toolbar.google.com
External link text to your pages has the greatest impact on your search engine position. If more people link to your site using variations of your keywords in the anchor text, this will give you a boost for those search terms.
Off-page content: The content of your linked pages is very important for SEO, the more content related to your keywords, the more powerful those links you can get.
Outbound links are the links that have a significant impact on your site. Always make sure that you are linking to good or relevant sites.
