SEO strategies for the largest search engine in the world

When I started learning about SEO, I didn’t really know where to start. And like most challenge stories, I was at the end of my ropes – I’ve tried everything. After several sleepless nights wasting nearly $20,000 developing websites, and lacking results, I was tired, frustrated, and detached. After spending many hours learning how to apply the techniques that were used by the number one ranked sites, I started using many of the same techniques on my website, and quickly made it to the top of Google for specific keyword phrases.

These results resulted in what I now call the SEO Made Simple method. My focus was – and still is – Google, because it attracts more search traffic than any other search engine. You have also learned that the optimization techniques used to reach the number one position on the world’s largest search engine are unique. Soon after I started implementing these techniques on my website, I quickly moved from page 10 in Google to get my key search terms to the top of the search engine result positions (SERPs). Although search engine results vary from time to time, all of my keyword searches show my website on the first page of Google, and many of them are ranked first or second.

After spending many late nights applying the SEO techniques I learned, it wasn’t long before I developed faster and more effective ways to get results. These optimization techniques have saved me valuable time and money, making the process much easier and faster to implement. I will share all these techniques with you on the following pages so that you can avoid wasting endless hours on manual processes that can be easily automated.

As I mentioned in the introduction, there are two essential parts to any SEO effort: on-page optimization and off-page optimization. We’ll start with an overview and explanation of on-page optimization as it builds the foundation for your SEO efforts and is easy to understand. Simply put what you do on your web pages can have a positive or negative impact on your search engine result placements – where your site ranks on Google for a particular search term or phrase.

What is on-page optimization?

Defined in its simplest form, on-page optimization is what you do on your website to help or harm SERPs. In my view, on-page optimization also refers to important planning steps such as understanding your niche, keyword research, and web strategy.

The best part of on-page optimization is that it is completely under your control. If done correctly, it can improve how search engines see your website, weigh relevant content (keywords) and place your website among search results for a particular term.

Keyword search

The more you learn about search engine optimization, the more you will become dependent on effective keyword research. Finding the search terms for which your website or blog should be optimized is essential to any search engine optimization campaign. The goal is to find relevant, high-traffic keywords that will be less competitive from an optimization perspective. Less competition means that

You will have a much better chance of achieving the first rank for your chosen keyword phrase. Doing so takes a little work but it’s worth it.

The value of choosing keywords strategically is very high. The “correct” keywords allow optimization efforts to happen faster and produce the best organic result. Many of the companies I’ve consulted over the past few years haven’t paid much attention to keyword research. As a result, they were either trying to optimize their websites for keywords that they couldn’t achieve first rank for, because a reference site like Wikipedia ranked first, or for keywords with no search volume.

It is very difficult to categorize new blogs on single or general words. For example, “wireless routers” is a very high competition keyword. When you search in Google by typing wireless routers, you will find the website with a high domain authority. You can find the domain authority of any website using Moz site explorer. It is very difficult to outrank those sites. Therefore, bloggers use long tail keywords like “best wireless routers under $50”.

How to search for keywords

1. Google Suggestions: Besides these tools, there are some tricks where you can find keyword suggestions. Simply type the topic name into Google and scroll down to find related keywords. Watch here what Google shows for its “best wireless routers”.

2. Forums: You can also find a new keyword in different forums. Simply type the ‘keyword’ + ‘forum’ search query into Google to find forums related to your keyword.

3. Wikipedia: You can also use Wikipedia for this. Enter the keyword in the Wikipedia search bar and scroll down to the bottom. It also displays some related topics.

4. Google Trends: Google Directions is another very useful service from Google. It also provides related queries that you can use for keyword research purpose.

5. Forum questions: Join question answer forums like Quora. Forums like Quora have a large number of active members. This is also a great way to find new keywords because people have asked a lot of questions there and you may find new keywords that you should write the post for. These are some of the easy ways that you should focus on after starting a blog.

What is off-page optimization?

Off-page SEO is nothing but ways or ways to improve a website’s ranking or position on search engine results page (SERPs). Off-page SEO isn’t just about link building. Off-page SEO is associated with different promotional methods regardless of website design. The sole purpose is to improve the website’s position in the search results.

In contrast to on-page SEO, the following activities come under off-page SEO which lie outside the confines of a web page:

• Social media

• Link Building

• social preference

Let’s see them in more detail.

• Social media:

Online networking or social media is part of “off-site SEO” and looking at the situation objectively, it is also a kind of link building. You should note that the bulk of the links you get from social media platforms are “nofollow” but that doesn’t mean they are worthless. Social media is making progress as the ranking variables and the legitimate design of social networking profiles can also help SEO.

• Link Building:

External link generation or link building is the most popular off-page SEO technique. Basically by building external links to your site, you are trying to collect the same number of “votes” as you can with the aim of avoiding your competitors and ranking them higher. For example, if someone likes this article and references it from their site or blog, this is like telling search engines that this page has great data.

Over the years, webmasters have been trying to create links for their sites with the aim of getting a higher rank and have “invented” different methods of expanding the number of links. The most popular methods are:

1. Blog Guides:

Similar to the Yellow Pages, each entry was a link to a site.

2. Comment link:

Same idea as forum signatures where you attach to another website or blog with a specific end goal to get a backlink. Even more awful, instead of using your real name you can use keywords instead of writing “note by Alex Chris”, you wrote “comment by how to lose weight” or something comparable.

3. Article guides:

By publishing your articles on the article directory, you can get a link back to your site. Few directories acknowledge articles with exceptional content only while various directories acknowledge anything from rewritten articles to actively published articles.

Note that we used the past tense to portray all of the above strategies on the grounds that they not only don’t work today, you shouldn’t try them because you’ll most likely get a penalty instead of a ranking increase (especially in regards to Google).

Social preference:
